Powered Roller Deck
Sometimes the simple solution isn’t always the one that works the best, take for instance, roller closers. Ideal Pase manufactures many kinds of closers, including roller closers. Our roller closer package is very popular with many of our machines. Most of the time, a simple roller closer will get the job done, but sometimes, you have some tricky lids and containers that just give you trouble. Ideal Pase’s Powered Roller Deck will give you the closure you need.
Slipping containers in the closer sometimes happen, for any number of reasons (containers are too light, not enough friction on the conveyor, etc.) – this can cause congestion and backup under the closer. The Powered Roller Deck features a heavy duty, corrosion resistant, low friction, abrasion resistant interlocking belt. The interlocking belt travels at the same speed as the conveyor below it. This helps prevent container slippage as the container and lid are being pulled from above and below. Since there is no slipping, congestion and backup are eliminated as well.
Another issue that can occur happens at the end of the closer – tipping. Some lids require a great deal of force to get a good seal. The last few rollers push down on the lid on one end which causes the container outside of the closer to tip up, and if the seal isn’t good, you get loss of product and a mess. Due to the interlocking belt’s hard, flat surface, pressure is more evenly distributed against the lids and container, along with the synchronous belt and conveyor speed, tipping is prevented.
The Ideal Pase Powered Roller Deck is the perfect solution for your troublesome containers and lids. The modular design of the Powered Roller Deck means that existing customers with any of our CEM/CEP/CES lines can upgrade from a standard roller closer.

How It Works
Ideal Pase’s fillers use a proven Direct Fill System (DFS®), a gravity-fed, net-weight-based process that ensures clean, smooth filling without turbulence or splashing. Each container rests on a precision load cell that continuously monitors product weight as the valve opens and closes automatically for pinpoint accuracy.
For higher production rates, an optional lateral transfer system pre-positions containers, allowing every fill head to remain active and eliminating downtime between fills. Once filled, containers advance through integrated lid placing and closing modules, then discharge via conveyor for labeling or palletizing. Ideal Pase designed and built a complete 5-gallon metal pail filling line for a Fortune 500 Paint Manufacturer. This fast and efficient pail filling line features; Ideal Pase’s; NEW Dual Stack Pail Denester, 4 Head Net-Weight POP Style Filling Machine, NEW Metal Pail Lid Placer with Auto Orientation for crimp-style lids and a Custom Designed 4-UP Crimping Station. All tied together via motorized conveyor with all necessary pail sensors and pail stops. An innovative pail handle guide installed from the denester’s output until the fill zone – ensures the pail handles maintain proper orientation prior to auto placement of the spouted lids. An Allen Bradley PLC and Large 12-inch Allen Bradley Color HMI Pedestal allows for total control of this filling line including; filling recipe generation, recipe storage, filling line productivity tracking and filling line trouble shooting. All hazardous mechanical areas are shielded with robust covers and doors with integrated safety locks and appropriate EMO switches.
Automatic Pail Denester
Automatic Pail Denester continuously feeds empty pails into your filling line without the need for an operator to pull pails apart. Denesters available in 1, 2, 4, and 6 station formats with speeds of 7-42 containers per minute supplying any size or style of filling machine. Simple tool changes allow for multiple container sizes and styles. Independent multi-head operation ensures continued pail denesting and feeding if a portion of the machine malfunctions.
Automatic Depalletizer
Automatically depalletizer containers from the rows they are stacked to any filling line. Includes automatic slip sheet removal. Empty pallets can be auto-stacked with an optional pallet stacker. Depalletizer automatically indexes to the depalletizing station as needed. Adjustable from pint to 5 gallon containers.
