Powered Roller Deck

Sometimes the simple solution isn’t always the one that works the best, take for instance, roller closers.  Ideal Pase manufactures many kinds of closers, including roller closers.  Our roller closer package is very popular with many of our machines.  Most of the time, a simple roller closer will get the job done, but sometimes, you have some tricky lids and containers that just give you trouble. Ideal Pase’s Powered Roller Deck will give you the closure you need.

Slipping containers in the closer sometimes happen, for any number of reasons (containers are too light, not enough friction on the conveyor, etc.) – this can cause congestion and backup under the closer.  The Powered Roller Deck features a heavy duty, corrosion resistant, low friction, abrasion resistant interlocking belt. The interlocking belt travels at the same speed as the conveyor below it. This helps prevent container slippage as the container and lid are being pulled from above and below. Since there is no slipping, congestion and backup are eliminated as well.

Another issue that can occur happens at the end of the closer – tipping. Some lids require a great deal of force to get a good seal.  The last few rollers push down on the lid on one end which causes the container outside of the closer to tip up, and if the seal isn’t good, you get loss of product and a mess.  Due to the interlocking belt’s hard, flat surface, pressure is more evenly distributed against the lids and container, along with the synchronous belt and conveyor speed, tipping is prevented.
