Manufacturers filling multiple products or running frequent batch changeovers face a familiar challenge: how to improve production speed and cleaning efficiency without adding equipment or consuming more floor space.
The Ideal Pase Gantry-Mounted Direct Fill System addresses this challenge by combining high-performance pail filling, integrated tank cleaning, and a compact machine layout.
Faster Pail Handling and Filling
The system uses a lateral container-transfer design to minimize the time spent moving pails into and out of the filling zone.
Four pails are transferred laterally onto individual scales for simultaneous filling. Once filling is complete, the pails are pushed directly onto a parallel exit conveyor. This efficient movement reduces container-transfer time and allows the machine to spend more of each production cycle filling product.
The automated sequence also reduces operator involvement while supporting controlled, accurate, and repeatable filling from batch to batch.
A Better Approach to Cleaning
Cleaning a traditional direct-fill system may require portable flush carts, additional floor space, and manual movement of equipment around the filling line. These requirements can complicate changeovers—especially in facilities where production space is already limited.
The Ideal Pase design mounts the Direct Fill System tank on an integrated overhead gantry. When cleaning is required, the tank slides backward, away from the scale zone, into its dedicated flushing position. After cleaning, it returns directly over the scales for the next production batch.
Because this movement takes place within the machine’s existing footprint, manufacturers do not need to dedicate additional floor space to portable cleaning carts or separate flushing equipment.
Integrated Internal Cleaning
Once the DFS tank reaches the flushing position, integrated internal spray balls thoroughly wash the inside of the tank to help remove remaining product residue.
The transparent demonstration shown in the video provides a clear view of the vigorous cleaning action inside the tank. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, the next product enters the clean DFS tank and the filling machine is ready to begin another batch.
This integrated approach can help streamline product changeovers, reduce cleaning complexity, and limit the amount of auxiliary equipment required around the production line.
Designed for Demanding Filling Applications
The Ideal Pase Gantry-Mounted Direct Fill System brings together several important production advantages:
- Four-pail simultaneous filling
- Fast lateral transfer onto the scales
- Direct transfer to a parallel exit conveyor
- Retractable tank movement between filling and flushing positions
- Integrated internal spray-ball cleaning
- Cone-style nozzles for smooth, laminar product flow
- Accessible design for cleaning and maintenance
- No additional machine footprint for tank flushing
- No requirement for portable flush carts
The result is a durable and flexible filling solution that combines accurate, repeatable performance with efficient cleaning and space-conscious engineering.
