Automatic Metal and Plastic Pail Denester
Stacks of metal or plastic pails are auto-fed via infeed conveyor to 2 vertical elevator stations – equipped with vertical doors that close to secure each pail stack – before they are raised up to the pail pulling station.
Pail stacks are clamped below the pail that will be pulled from the stack – next a suction cup style arm pulls individual pails from the stack and places them on a motorized feed conveyor – 2 at a time. The Denesting process repeats itself ensuring a continuous supply of empty pails is fed into the 4 head filling station.
4-Head Net Weight Filling Machine with Manifold Design Fill Cart
Empty pails are transported 4 at a time to 4 independent load cell stations – each scale station raises its pail off the chain conveyor during the fill process ensuring accurate net weight filling.
Product is pumped into the fill cart’s manifold that then feeds each independent fill head. Coarse and fine air actuated ball valves work in tandem based on the specific stored filling recipe to deliver fast, clean and accurate fills – every cycle.
Automatic Lid Placing Station
Filled pails are transported via motorized conveyor to the auto lid placing station, where an articulated lid placing arm pulls lids from the large capacity lid stack storage rack and quickly places them on the filled pails. The lid placer can store and place both metal and plastic lids – friction and crimp style.
Lid Closing Stations
Metal pails with crimp style lids are sent to the guarded dual crimping station for closure. Pails with friction style lids are sent to the heavy-duty roller closing station for sealing. A no lid sensor is located at the end of the line – to detect any pails with missing lids.
